Sustainability

Ocean View Deluxe Suite - 2
La Cusinga Lodge - Vista Aerea Tucan Rana y Aracari
Since its inception in 1995

Responsible tourism that protects, educates and transforms

La Cusinga Lodge was conceived as a living project based on harmony with nature. Long before sustainability became a global trend, we were already practicing a form of tourism that was conscious, regenerative and deeply committed to the natural environment and the local community.

La Cusinga Lodge

What does sustainability mean to us?

It's not just about reducing our impact, it's about creating a lasting positive impact. It means protecting ecosystems, inspiring our visitors, empowering communities and demonstrating that it is possible to make a living from tourism without destroying what makes it possible.

Active reforestation since 1990

Most of the wood used in our constructions comes from trees reforested on our own farm.

Solar energy

Our rooms use solar water heating systems.

Responsible waste management

Separation, composting and reduction of plastics.

Protection of 242 hectares of forest

Private reserve that acts as a biological corridor.

Sustainable agriculture

Collaboration with local producers for fresh and ethical ingredients.

Environmental education

We raise awareness among guests and organize programs for schools and communities.

Biodiversity conservation

We work with biologists and NGOs to protect endangered species.
Impact that transcends

Each guest who visits us becomes part of this purpose

Because when you choose La Cusinga, you not only choose a place to sleep, you choose to be part of a model of tourism that cares, that educates, that conserves and that leaves a positive footprint on the planet.
